Daily Challenge

Daily Mahjong Puzzle

A new American Mahjong challenge every day — same tiles for everyone, skill decides who wins. Like Wordle, but for Mahjong.

What is a Daily Mahjong Puzzle?

Mini Mahj is a free daily American Mahjong challenge that works a lot like Wordle. Every day at midnight ET, a new puzzle is released. Every player around the world gets the exact same tiles drawn from the exact same wall — so the only variable is how well you play.

Each challenge takes about 5 minutes. You play a complete American Mahjong round against AI opponents, trying to build a winning hand and declare Mahjong as quickly as possible. The leaderboard ranks everyone by how efficiently they finished.

How Scoring Works

Your daily Mini Mahj score depends on several factors:

Want to score higher? Read the Mahjong Strategy Tips guide — it covers hand selection, defensive play, and when to claim tiles to finish fast.

Streaks & Stats

Mini Mahj tracks your performance over time. Your streak counts consecutive days you've played (not necessarily won — just completed the challenge). Stats include your win rate, average turns, and best finishes.

Stats are stored in your browser — no account required. Play from the same browser each day to maintain your streak.

Sharing Your Results

After each challenge, you can share your result — a colorful summary showing how you did without spoiling the puzzle for others. Share it to social media or in a group chat to compare scores with friends.

Want to compete more seriously? Mini Mahj Groups gives you and your friends a private leaderboard for the daily challenge.
