Why I built this

"I started playing Mahjong to spend more time with my mother. I got completely obsessed."

Her generation plays with real stakes: quarters on the line, the NMJL card memorized, no mercy. My generation? We struggled to get four moms' schedules aligned.

Online games helped, but I never had the card on me when I needed it, like waiting at school pickup. Besides, nothing scratched the itch the right way. So I built Mini Mahj.

Everyone plays the exact same challenge each day: the same tiles, the same wall, and the same opponents.

The only thing that changes the outcome is the decisions you make.

Whether you're trying to beat your friends on a private group leaderboard or crack the Top 10 on the global leaderboard, every point feels earned.

The leaderboard turned out to be the secret ingredient. Suddenly it mattered. Just like a quarter on the line, stakes change everything.
